Step 3 – Technical assessment

Step 3 – Technical assessment process showing four stages: choose a TRA-approved RTO, complete an evidence assessment by uploading documents, pay for a technical assessment through the online portal, and receive a program outcome after completing the previous steps.

The Technical Assessment step will:

  • Confirm that you can undertake the full range of tasks expected of a tradesperson in Australia for your Nominated Occupation.
  • Be carried out by a TRA-approved RTO.
