Migration Points Advice Program

The Migration Points Advice Program is a documentary evidence assessment that determines how your qualifications and employment history compare with Australian standards for your Nominated Occupation.
 
This program is for applicants applying for a points-tested, independent skilled migration visa who have already received a successful outcome from one of our skills assessments.
 
It will take approximately 120 days for your application to be processed and finalised after you have submitted it. The assessment does not allocate points; this is determined by Home Affairs. It is used to tell Home Affairs how your qualifications and/or employment experience compare against Australian standards.
 
Processing times may vary – they are a guide only and are subject to change. Some applications may take longer to be finalised.
To register for the Migration Points Advice Program, you will need to:
• Have a successful skills assessment outcome from one of our programs. This outcome must be in your Nominated Occupation.
 
What is my Nominated Occupation?
Your Nominated Occupation is the job you want to be assessed for based on your skills and experience.
The total cost to complete this program is $450. You can make payment through our Online Portal when you submit your application.

Before you apply, there are a few things you should do:
 
• Check that you have a successful skills assessment outcome from us and that you are seeking a points tested visa from Home Affairs.
• Use the Pathfinder tool to check if this Program is right for you.
To apply for this program, you must register through our Online Portal.
 
The Online Portal will guide you through the documents you need to submit at each stage of your application. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully and that all your details are current and correct.
 
1. Register - Complete your online registration.
2. Upload Evidence - Provide all required evidence.
3. Review and Confirm - Check that you have completed all sections of the application.
4. Submit - Make your payment and click submit.
