Step 4 - JRFA

The Job Ready Final Assessment (JRFA) is the fourth and final step of the JRP. When you have successfully completed Steps 1, 2 and 3 of the Job Ready Program you will be eligible to apply for a JRFA.

A successful JRFA provides you with a skills assessment outcome, required for an application to the Department of Home Affairs for a visa for independent skilled migration.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for a JRFA you must have:

  • a successful Provisional Skills Assessment outcome (Step 1); and

  • a successful Job Ready Workplace Assessment outcome (Step 3)

and provided your TRA Liaison Officer (TRA LO) with:

  • acceptable pay evidence to support at least 1725 hours of paid employment over a minimum of 12 months in your nominated occupation that has been registered via the Online Portal and approved by TRA; and

  • 12 months of Job Ready Journals signed by your nominated supervisor and approved by TRA

Once your TRA LO has reviewed your documentation and is satisfied that you have met the standard set out in the JRP Applicants Guidelines and are eligible to apply for a JRFA, they will contact you to confirm you can submit your application online.

How to apply

When you receive email confirmation from your TRA LO that you are eligible to apply for a JRFA, you can apply through the TRA Online Portal by selecting the Job Ready Final Assessment link. You must complete all the mandatory fields and pay the application fee.

For your application to be registered, the JRFA Summary Page must be printed from the online portal, signed and emailed to TRA at jrpdocuments [at] education.gov.au. Documents must be provided as a single PDF attachment. If your documents are not provided in this format, they will be returned to you unprocessed.

Detailed information about the JRFA, including the Application Documents you need to send to TRA, are provided under Section 2.4 of the Job Ready Program Applicant Guidelines.
