Job Ready Program Processing Times

On this page

The Job Ready Program is experiencing a high number of applications and average processing times are currently longer than expected.

The Job Ready Program requires a minimum of 12 months participation in suitable full-time (or part time equivalent) employment. The program must be completed within 3 years.

The Job Ready Program is currently experiencing high levels of demand. While this may impact how quickly we process different activities within the program, we are still managing demand within the overall participation timeframe.

As at July 2024, our average processing times are as follows:

Program Registration

We will write to confirm your registration in the program within 30 days of your online submission date.

Prior Employment

We will provide a decision on your request for prior employment within 8 months of program registration.

Invitation for a Workplace Assessment

Once you have accepted an invitation for a Workplace Assessment we will write to you within 15 days to confirm that you have been referred to a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

An RTO will contact you to schedule a Workplace Assessment within 60 days of our referral.

If you are unable to attend your Workplace Assessment you must contact the RTO directly to cancel or reschedule before your appointment.

Workplace Assessment Outcome

The RTO will provide us with a report following your Workplace Assessment.

We will consider this report and write to you about your Workplace Assessment result. We will do this within 30 days of receiving your report from the RTO.

Final Assessment

Once you have met your participation requirement in the program, we will invite you to the Job Ready Final Assessment.
